EXECUTIVE COACHING
Many senior executives have passion but need support with challenging management issues - working with boards, raising funds, building productive teams, setting priorities, and dealing with the inevitable crises that arise. We help clients assess strengths and weaknesses, identify where they are stuck, and determine strategies to forge ahead.
SUPPORTING SCIENCE CEOS
Adviza has a particular focus on supporting first-time scientific CEOs in biomedical startups. In many cases these CEOs have undergone rigorous scientific training but are new to the challenges of organizational & board management, fundraising, business development and other critical "soft skills".

STRATEGIC - PLANNING
Organizations cannot succeed without thoughtful plans and measurable goals. Many companies spend significant time creating over-detailed strategic plans that end up collecting dust on a back shelf. At Adviza we believe that strategic planning should be thoughtful, and dynamic and result in an actionable implementation plan. We work with clients to develop a living document, amended regularly, which retains its relevance to evolving challenges, budgetary constraints, goals, and priorities.

Successful organizations develop and maintain strong, productive cultures. If an organization is growing, merging, or changing its focus clients need to have the right team in place to assure that critical goals can be achieved.
BOARD DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING
A high-functioning organization requires a governing board that understands its responsibilities and maintains a productive relationship with the CEO. We assess board effectiveness, support board recruitment and integration, and work to improve the dynamics between the board and the executive team.

ABOUT LORI RUTTER
Lori has more than 30 years experience in the nonprofit, private, and public sectors including creating, building, and selling a 35-person consulting firm, The Telluride Group. She focuses on entrepreneurial approaches to managing organizational growth and change. She has a strong background in executive coaching, management team development, strategic planning, and board governance. Lori has a Master's Degree in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard and a BA from Harvard College. Lori has held numerous board leadership positions including at the Harvard Alumni Association, The Decordova Museum and the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston. ABOUT JEFF BEHRENS
Jeff is a serial entrepreneur with multiple successful exits. Most recently, Jeff was the founder and CEO of LabShares Newton, a biotech incubator. Previously, Jeff was CEO of Siamab Therapeutics, founding CEO at GelMedix and worked at Biogen, Alnylam, and Edimer Pharmaceuticals. Jeff began his career by founding, and ultimately selling The Telluride Group, a healthcare-focused technology company. Jeff has a Ph.D. from EPFL, an MBA from MIT, and an MS from HST (a joint program of Harvard Medical School and MIT). Jeff's board and community leadership positions have included Savran Technologies, Pathway to Possible, Harvard Alumni Association, Tufts Medical Center, The Speakeasy Stage, Harvard Startups, Young Entrepreneurs Organization, Harvard Magazine, and the Museum of Science.
